All deadlines are midnight CET (Central European Time) at the end of the day on the date indicated.

The First admissions round
The first admissions round is specifically for international students. This round has many advantages, such as, all courses and programmes taught in English are offered, the deadlines and admissions decisions are much earlier, applicants requiring a residence permit have the time they need to apply for and receive it.

The Second admissions round
The second admissions round is for students living in Sweden.

Some universities offer courses and programmes taught in English in the second round, usually when there are still places available after the first round.

International students are welcome to apply to this round, but there are a few things to consider, such as below;

Many courses and programmes taught in English are no longer available for application. The admissions decision comes in July, providing less time to prepare to move to Sweden. Non-EU/EEA applicants who require a residence permit won’t have time to apply for and receive one probably before the start date.

Spring semester programme offerings
Most bachelor’s and master’s programmes in Sweden begin in the autumn semester and few programmes start in the spring semester.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR TURKISH CITIZENS

Bachelor’s admissions
A Secondary School Certificate meets the general criteria.
Secondary School Certificate (Lise/Lisesi Diplomasi, Devlet Lise Diplomasi, Anadolu Lisesi Diplomasi, Devlet Teknik Lise Diplomasi, Devlet Meslek Lise Diplomasi) and final school grades transcript.

Master’s admissions
A Lisans Diplomasi or Mühendislik Diplomasi of at least 4 years meets the general criteria.
Please note that a 2-year degree, such as Ön Lisanas Diplomasi (Associate Degree) or Meslek Elemani Diplomasi, do not fulfill the requirements for master level studies.

English proficiency requirements
IELTS Academic/IELTS UKVI
IELTS General Training or IELTS Indicator is not accepted

Academic modules
An overall score of 6.5 and no section below 5.5

TOEFL iBT
TOEFL iBT, TOEFL iBT Home Edition and TOEFL iBT Paper Edition are accepted.
TOEFL ITP, TOEFL iBT MyBest, Institutional TOEFL, TOEFL Essentials, or the revised TOEFL Paper-delivered Test (available 2017-2021) are not accepted.
Score of 20 (scale 0-30) in written test, total score of 90

TOEFL Examinee Score Records are not accepted.

Pearson PTE Academic or PTE Academic Online
Score of 62 (writing 61)

STUDY COSTS IN SWEDEN

The yearly higher education costs in Sweden are changing for International students and it’s depending on the university and program.

Tuition fees in Sweden range from approximately SEK 40,000 per semester (approximately 3,415 EUR to SEK 120,000 (or approximately 10,588 EUR)

Living costs depend on the location of study.

Bigger cities are generally more expensive but are approximately 8,568 SEK per month including rent. These are approximately 848 EUR or 1,020 USD as of February 2021.

And also, if you have been granted permanent Swedish residency, you won’t have to pay tuition fees.

COST OF ACCOMMODATION
Accommodation costs are changing by university and city for international students.

The types of accommodation available for international students vary by university and city. Your university may provide guaranteed housing for international students but some may not. Most universities should provide some kind of accommodation service or advice.

Rent and demand for student housing tend to be higher in big cities like Stockholm as well as in traditional student cities like Uppsala and Lund.

Monthly rent ranges between SEK 2,500 and 6,500. The rent you pay will generally depend on several things including city, and size and type of accommodation.
